Consumer Confidence At Its Highest Among Thais
BANGKOK, Dec 3 (Bernama) -- Thailand's consumer confidence in November rose to its highest level in 11 months due to a positive economic outlook this year and next year and, political stability.
The consumer confidence index (CCI) for November increased to 74.6 points from 73.4 in October, said the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) based on a survey of 2,242 respondents.
The positive view is backed by the economy which is projected to grow 3.3 per cent in the fourth quarter of this year and 3.0-3.1 per cent this year, said Thanavath Phonvichai, UTCC Director of Economic and Business Forecasting Centre at university.
The consumer confidence should grow in the months ahead unless negative factors emerge, he said.
