Development of Sistan-Baluchestan on agenda of Industry Ministry

Tehran, Dec 17, IRNA – A deputy at the Industry, Mines and Trade Ministry said compensation for economic underdevelopment and removal of bottlenecks in the business and production atmosphere of Sistan & Baluchestan Province has been put on the agenda of the ministry. Hossein Ayyubi Mehrizi, speaking at a follow up session of the recent visit of the cabinet ministers to the province said capabilities of development organizations such as IMIDRO, financial facilities of the National Development Fund and the Bank of Industry and Mine should be used for the completion of semi-finished mining projects. He said with the participation of the private sector and encouragement of domestic and foreign investments in the implementation of closed industrial projects remarkable employment opportunities will be created in the deprived areas of Sistan & Baluchestan Province. Meanwhile, Behrouz Riahi, advisor to the minister and in charge of following up approvals of the provincial visit said sensitivity of the officials, including industry, mines and trade minister, is high with regard to the development of Sistan & Baluchestan province. Referring to capabilities of the province in the production of cement, textiles, tire, petrochemicals, foodstuffs and marine industries the official said development and expansion of these projects are in need of comprehensive management and strike follow ups through formation of expert headquarters.
