Economy, Commerce Minister Meets Saudi Delegation

Doha, March 03 (QNA) - HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani met Thursday with a delegation from Saudi Ministry of Commerce and Industry, currently on a visit to Doha. The meeting reviewed means of mutual cooperation and exchange of expertise between the two countries, particularly in the fields of commerce, consumer protection, foreign trade and information technology. The Saudi delegation comprised Tariq Al Naeem, undersecretary for domestic commerce; Fahad Al Jalajel, undersecretary for consumer protection; Fahad Abu Himed, undersecretary for regulations; Mohamed Al Qassem, secretary general of the council of competition; Majed Al Bawardi, the minister's advisor for information technology; and Nawaf Al Harbi, development director of the companies' project. During the meeting, HE the minister was briefed on the outcome of the meetings that were held over the past two days with officials from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and the discussion that took place to activate mutual cooperation in commerce, consumer protection, foreign trade and information technology. The visit comes within the framework of exchanging expertise and benefiting from the successful experiences of the Ministry of Economy and Commerce in these areas. (QNA)
