Experts to Mull 5G at Wireless Communications Conference in Doha

Doha, April 03 (QNA) - Industry experts, academics and representatives from government agencies will mull the roadmap to 5G, technology challenges and the way forward at the 2016 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC16) starting here tomorrow at the Sheraton Grand Doha Resort and Convention Hotel. The conference features a technical agenda and technical sessions with papers showcasing the latest technologies, applications and services. Important topics of that electronics and wireless communications technocrats will discuss include the roadmap to 5G, heterogeneous cellular networks, cognitive radio networks, wireless sensor networks, energy harvesting, and energy efficient communications. The conference includes workshops, tutorials, keynote talks from industrial leaders and renowned academics, panel discussions, a large exhibition, business and industrial forums. This is the first time the conference is being held in the Middle East and North Africa region. Representatives from sponsors Ooredoo, National Instruments, Qatar Petrochemical Co. (QAPCO), Qatar National Research Fund and the U.S. Office of Naval Research Global; and organizers Texas A&M at Qatar, Qatar University and Hamad bin Khalifa University are expected to attend. (QNA)
