Fars Province, Hong Kong To Expand Commercial Ties

Shiraz, Fars Prov., Aug 14, IRNA – Regional Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Stephen Wong, says despite sanctions, Hong Kong will develop trade with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Wong, speaking on the sidelines of his visit to different sections of Shiraz Great Industrial City, including the electric industries, the electronic and foodstuffs sections, said, “We are ready for expansion of economic and trade relations.” He said high industrial potential of Iran’s southern Fars Province can serve as a huge capacity for upgrading mutual cooperation. Meanwhile, Director of the Market Development and International Affairs Department of Fars Province Industrial Cities’ Company, Mahmoud Ghayoumi, hoped for conclusion of deals for mutual trade and economic cooperation. Ghayoumi noted that organizing seminar in Shiraz for expansion of Fars-Hong Kong trade, raising trade volume between Fars and Hong Kong, dispatch of trade delegations from Fars to Hong Kong and stronger economic ties between Iran-Hong Kong will be provisions of the agreement due to be signed by both parties./end
