Finance minister meets AIIB Vice President

Bali, Oct.12 (BNA): The Minister of Finance Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa held talks with Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) Vice President Danny Alexander, on the sidelines of the annual meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund in Bali, Indonesia. The Minister commended the crucial role of AIIB in providing finance to infrastructure projects in member states, and discussed means of enhancing co-operation. He also appreciated Bahrain becoming a full member in the bank on 24 August 2018. The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Ghassan Sheikho, Bahrain’s Ambassador to Indonesia, and a number of Ministry of Finance officials.
