Forest Colour To Make Forays Into Middle East With Cosmetics
IPOH (Perak, Malaysia), March 30 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia's Perak state of Agriculture Development Corporation plans to market Forest Colour fragrances, as well as beauty, body care and skin products to the Middle East.
Its chief executive, Ahmad Rizal Abdul Rahman said the move was aimed at introducing herbal-based products produced by its unit, ForestSecret, from the tropical rain forest to the international market.
He said in its quest to realise the goal, the corporation was collaborating with the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, including sending investment missions abroad.
"For the time being, the products have made inroads into the Bruneian and Indonesian markets. In Indonesia, they are being sold in more than 500 Watsons and Century pharmacies across the country," he told reporters after the launch of a Forest Colour Outlet and Spa here Wednesday.
Ahmad Rizal said the corporation welcomed entrepreneurs who were interested in opening Forest Colour outlets throughout the country and offered young people the opportunity to become beauty specialists by providing training, job openings, incentives and lucrative income.
On the newly-launched Forest Colour Outlet and Spa at a hotel here, he said it was a symbol of success for Perak and Malaysia in commercialising bio-diversity products and a mini franchise model for entrepreneurs.
