GCC-CAC concludes board meeting in Muscat

Muscat, Mar. 21 (BNA): The GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre (GCC-CAC) held its board meeting in the Omani capital Muscat chaired by Ridha bin Jum'a Al-Saleh, Chairman of the Board. The board discussed a number of items and proposals aimed at improving the work of the Centre and improving its revenues, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported. The board reviewed a number of financial reports for 2018, including the adoption of a report on the accounts ending December 31, 2018. The board reappointed the External Auditor of 2018 as External Auditor for 2019. It recommended the importance of appointing an Internal Auditor for 2019. The board adopted the annual report on the activities of the Centre for 2018, highlighting what has been achieved during the past years, the courses carried out by the Centre for establishing the arbitration culture and establishing its rules in the GCC States. The board reviewed the regulation of the board of directors, in addition to discussing the personnel regulations of the Centre. The board agreed that the next meeting will be held in the Kingdom of Bahrain in September.
