GHX Teams Up With Fatiha & Friends To Raise Awareness On Syrian Refugees

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 28 (Bernama) -- Global Halal Exchange (GHX), an eMarketplace for the Halal industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with a social enterprise, Fatiha Shuib and Friends, to raise awareness about Syrian refugees in Jordan. Under the agreement, Fatiha Shuib and Friends will market its programme, "One Moment For Them", via GHX where users may purchase merchandise items and products of GHX's merchants that will furnish aid packages to be sent to Syrian refugee centres in Jordan. The signing was witnessed by Dagang NeXchange Bhd (DNeX) Executive Deputy Chairman Samsul Husin, whose company presented a contribution of US$14,520 (RM60,000) to support Fatiha Shuib and Friends' efforts for Syrian refugees. "The partnership is certainly in line with DNeX's corporate social responsibility initiative focused on education and providing assistance to the underprivileged," he added in a statement.
