Gift, houseware fair opens mid April
NONTHABURI, April 2 (TNA) -- More than 600 firms are expected to join the 41st Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International House-ware Fair (BIG+BIH) while it is projected that over 1.6 billion baht would change hands during the fair to be opened later this month, said Malee Choklumlerd, director-general of International Trade Promotion Department.
Organised under the fair theme called the ‘ASEAN Life + Style’, the 41st BIG+BIH will be held at Muang Thong Thani complex from April 19 to 21 for business talks and for retail sales between April 22-23, Ms Malee said.
The fair, organised every April and October, would allow designers, manufacturers and life style products to display their latest innovative products, she said.
It also stress how importance the country is for being trade centre and quality life style goods centre in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations region and the rest of the world, Ms Malee said.
Manufacturers from several countries including South Korea, Taiwan, India, Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Japan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia will participate the upcoming fair, she said.
Thailand exported gift and house-ware products worth about 2.8 billion US dollars in 2015. During the first two months this year, the country exported these goods valued approximately 413 million US dollars. (TNA)
