Gilan Facilities To Attract Foreign Investors

Tehran, Oct 19, IRNA -- Granting land and facilitating visa issuance are new facilities to attract foreign investments in the province, Gilan’s governor general said. Mohammad-Ali Najafi made the statement on the sidelines of the meeting with representatives of Kuwaiti media delegation, stressing the necessity of boosting trade and economic relations between the two countries. “The province of Gilan has various potentials in the fields of tourism, industry, trade and agriculture,” he said, adding that the neighboring country must be aware of these potentials to boost bilateral relations. Najafi noted that tourist attractions such as Anzali and Astara ports, wetlands, Masouleh, Roodkhan Fort, Lahijan, Deylaman, Roudsar and Oshkurat give testimony to this claim. Gilan’s governor general invited Kuwaiti investors to establish residential and catering facilities in tourist sites of the province. He said special facilities have been considered for university research parks and knowledge-based firms, adding that Kuwaiti investors can make use of these facilities. “The Kuwaiti media delegation includes representatives of Kuwait Times, Al Kuwaitiah and the like,” he said. Kuwaiti representatives paid a three-day visit to explore investment opportunities in Anzali Free Trade-Industrial Zone./end
