GPIC employees celebrate National Day

Manama, Dec. 22 (BNA): The Working Women's Committee at the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) has celebrated the anniversary of the establishment of the modern state of Bahrain as an Arab and Muslim country in 1783 by its founder Ahmed Al Fateh, the 45th Anniversary of its accession to the UN as a full member, and the 17th Anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Accession to the Throne. Members of GPIC Executive Management, along with representatives of the Labour Union and employees, were present. Company President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery said organising such events comes out of their desire to not only celebrating the National Day but also 17 glorious years of the prosperous reign of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He said this also promotes a spirit of true citizenship and renews a pledge of allegiance to Bahrain’s wise Leadership. Dr. Jawahery said he was honoured to offer his congratulations to His Majesty the King and prayed for his good health and wellness. He said celebrations should be held with resolve and determination to redouble efforts to achieve more growth and development. He pointed out that celebrating National Day always had a special room in the hearts of Bahrainis and is closely linked to patriotism as well as portraying an expression of belonging and loyalty to the kingdom and its wise Leadership. Dr. Jawahery said the Management is keen to provide all facilities to celebrate the national occasion and praised the outstanding efforts of the Chairperson and members of the Working Women's Committee in preparing for the event. He said the occasion requires all to pledge themselves towards their King and be united in supporting the wise Leadership for the development of the homeland.
