GRC Meeting In KL To Highlight Challenges, Opportunities In Asia-Pacific Region
KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 (Bernama) -- The two-day Global Research Council (GRC) meeting from Nov 20 here, will discuss specific Asia Pacific challenges and identify opportunities for new or strengthening collaborations within the region.
Organised by the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), the meeting is also aimed at removing barriers to collaboration between developed and developing nations, creating standards and basic principles for appropriate peer review of research.
"It includes the transparency of the evaluation process, impartiality and confidentiality.
"Other active concerns, include, ensuring the accuracy of data and ethical standards in research involving human subjects," MIGHT said in a statement Friday.
It also said the meeting is one of five regional sessions designed to generate ideas for discussion at the GRC's 6th Annual Global Conference in Ottawa, Canada, in May next year.
