Halal International Selangor To Launch HTPN In 2H17

By Nurul Hanis Izmir KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 (Bernama) -- Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd's unit, Halal International Selangor (HIS), expects to launch its Halal Trade Procurement Nexus (HTPN) in the second half of 2017 (2H17). Central Spectrum Chief Executive Officer, Mahmud Abbas, said HTPN is a dedicated halal trade centre that facilitates, enablises and makes available all the halal products worldwide. "It will also help to verify, validate and distribute back the products to worldwide market with complete halal integrity and syariah-compliant to ensure accessibility, affordability, availability and sustainability anywhere, any place and anytime," he told Bernama. Mahmud said the HTPN will provide information on halal services, delivery assurance, logistics facilities and an e-commerce platform for halal companies. The industry players with the halal products will get recognition as halal-compliant producers among the procurement nexus worldwide, he said. "They will also be exposed to potential procurement halal nexus markets from China, South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Middle East, Europe and Russia," he said. Mahmud said HIS is an ecosystem that comprises 10 key programmes, among them, real estate, industry development, delivery assurance, human capital development and distribution chain. HIS, established under purview of Selangor state government, aims to provide market opportunities of the global halal trade and industries valued at US$46.1 trillion (US$1 = RM4.17). Its target markets, among others, are manufacturers, traders, distributors, authorities, retailers, entrepreneurs and unemployed graduates.
