HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives hailed by Industry Minister, BCCI chief

Manama, Mar. 23 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today held a meeting with the Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Sameer Abulla Nass, in the presence of senior officials from the Ministry and BCCI. The Industry Minister expressed sincere thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his constant support for all sectors, particularly entrepreneurship, through keenness to provide all kinds of facilities to entrepreneurs. In this regard, the minister cited HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives to offer online sellers two regulation options; ‘Khatwa’, offered free of charge to families registered with the Ministry of Labour and Social Development, or virtual commercial registration via ‘Sijili’, which is a commercial registration that allows individuals to practise certain business activities without having to register an office address. ‘Sijili’ also grants the beneficiaries access to financial packages, including Tamkeen’s Business Continuity Programme, and competitive financial schemes. This proves HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s close follow-up on everything related to the citizens and residents, he said, adding that the directives are guidelines for the government officials’ daily work. Al-Zayani stressed the Industry Ministry’s keenness to implement HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives, and to coordinate with BCCI, the Labour and Social Development Ministry and other relevant entities to protect all parties, particularly consumers, in addition to devising future plans to deal with any potential circumstances that the country may go through. BCCI Chairman underlined the importance of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives to the government to cooperate with BCCI on everything aimed at stimulating economic growth and supporting the commercial and industrial sectors so that the progress march witnessed by the kingdom at all levels continues. Nass expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his close follow-up on all fields and sectors in the kingdom, reiterating BCCI’s keenness to implement HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s directives to support entrepreneurs so as to be able to reach the global market. He pointed out that BCCI seeks to ensure that entrepreneurs remain in the local market, stressing the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors to increase investments in the country.
