IKEA set to open fifth store in Turkey

ANKARA (A.A) - 29.03.2011 - IKEA, the Swedish home furnishings retailer, is set to open its fifth store in Turkey in the country's capital city of Ankara, the company Turkey CEO said on Tuesday.
The superstore is scheduled to open on June 23 in Ankara's Mamak district as part of a wider shopping mall project, the Anatolium Ankara, and it would be the biggest IKEA store in Turkey, Nuri Ozsuer told a press meeting in the capital.
Ozsuer said the IKEA Ankara and the shopping mall would create three thousand new jobs.
IKEA has 317 stores in 38 countries with an annual average of 700 million visitors and a turnover of 34 billion USD. IKEA has two stores in Istanbul, one in Izmir and one in Bursa, Turkey.
