By Ahmad Fuad Yahya
JAKARTA, Feb 2 (Bernama) -- Indonesia's export grew by 29.1 per cent to hit
US$203.6 billion in 2011, thus exceeding the US$200 billion target set.
Indonesia Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan said the figure was a two-fold

"This achievement is remarkable for Indonesia is among several countries

"Apart from Indonesia, the other countries were Belgium, Russia,
Switzerland, the United States and Brazil," he said here Wednesday.
The increase in Indonesia's exports was fuelled by the growth in non-oil and
gas export amounted to US$162 billion or by 24.8 per cent while the oil and gas
export grew by 48.3 per cent to US$41.6 billion.
Indonesia's non-oil and gas export in 2011 was dominated industrial goods
with a composition of about 60 per cent while export of non-oil and gas
industrial products reached US$122.2 billion, increased by 24.7 per cent from
2010.
The mining sector scored the highest export growth by 29.7 per cent from
US$26.7 billion in 2010 to US$34.7 billion while the agricultural sector grew by
only 3.3 percent from US$5 billion to US$5.2 billion.
