Industry Minister chairs GCC Trade Cooperation Committee meeting

Manama, June 27 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today chaired the 60th meeting of the Trade Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held remotely. GCC Secretary-General, Nayef bin Falah Al-Hajraf, and GCC countries’ commerce ministers took part in the meeting. Industry Ministry’s Undersecretary, Eman Ahmed Al-Dosseri, and Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic and Foreign Trade, Shaikh Hamad bin Salman Al Khalifa, also participated in the virtual meeting. The meeting discussed the GCC Secretariat-General’s report on the implementation of the committee’s resolutions between September 2020 and January 2021. It also reviewed the Secretariat-General’s memoranda on its Patent Office, the smooth flow of intra-GCC movement, unified commercial laws, aspects related to electronic commerce and entrepreneurs for small and medium enterprises, in addition to a number of other topics on its agenda.
