Industry Minister inaugurates Kingdom Block Company at Salman Industrial City

Manama, Feb. 14 (BNA): Zayed R. Al-Zayani, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, today inaugurated the Kingdom Block Company at Salman Industrial City – Hidd, in presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kingdom Group Companies Saud Kanoo and a number of board members, officials and businessmen. The minister stressed the pride of the kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the government, to embrace more industrial and commercial facilities on its land and attract local, regional and international capital. Al-Zayani emphasised the government’s interest in and support to all industrial, commercial and tourism projects. The inauguration of project coincides with the Kingdom's celebrations of the National Action Charter Day, which translates the initiatives of the private sector in Bahrain to support economic and development march that is established by His Majesty the King and the government, he said. The project contributes to enhancing Bahrain's reputation as an important investment hub in the region, and reflects the economic growth witnessed by the country, he added. The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kingdom Group Companies, Saud Kanoo, confirmed that the launch of this industrial achievement is first of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain and is expected to cover the Bahraini market’s needs without the need to import from abroad. The warehouse provides high quality heat-resistant construction products in accordance with international standards. He expressed his pride in growing of competitive projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which is always supporting Bahraini companies in various fields. The company is built on an area of 30,000 m2 and the production capacity of the new factory is estimated at 350 thousand cubic metres of thermal insulation block and building materials per year.
