Industry Minister meets Capital Markets Apprenticeship Programme’s trainees

Manama, June 30 (BNA): Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister, Zayed bin Rashid Al-Zayani, today held a remote meeting with the trainees of the first edition of the “Capital Markets Apprenticeship Programme”, presented by Bahrain Bourse, in line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to launch the second version of the National Employment Programme. The minister lauded the plans and goals of the programme which targets youth graduates in order to bridge the gap between the educational and professional aspects, develop the skills of graduates so as to meet the labour market’s requirements, and equip them with high-quality skills that are supported by the experiences of decision-makers, adding that the scheme will prepare them to join the financial market or other markets, which will ultimately serve the economic development in Bahrain. Al-Zayani reviewed the main programmes overseen by the Industry Ministry, government work and the role of the private sector, in addition to other topics that interest the trainees. The programme which targets Bahraini nationals holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher, is aimed at developing and enhancing the skills of Bahraini talented youth in the Capital Markets Sector, as well as preparing young Bahraini talents to further contribute to the development of the Capital Markets in the future. It is in line with Bahrain Bourse's belief in the importance of enhancing and spreading financial awareness to reach the largest possible number of beneficiaries across a wider segment of the society.
