Inflation rises to 22.9 percent in Iran

TEHRAN,Aug.6(MNA) – Iran’s inflation rate hit 22.9 percent in the fourth calendar month of Tir, which ended on July 21, showing 0.5 percent rise compared to the previous month. The central bank of Iran has reported that the inflation rate has been rising since the beginning of the year. While the inflation rate was declining last year, it started to rise again this year; from so 21.8 percent in the first month to 22.9 percent in the fourth month.
