Interprovincial vans move to 3 bus terminals tomorrow

BANGKOK, Oct 24 (TNA) – All interprovincial public vans operating at Bangkok’s Victory Monument will be relocated to three main bus terminals in compliance with the government’s reorganisation policy from tomorrow onwards. Sanit Prompong, director-general of the Land Transport Department, said public van operators providing interprovincial services of no more than 300 kilometers must be moving to three bus terminals – the Mo Chit Bus Terminal, the Southern Bus Terminal, and the Ekkamai Bus Terminal. The Transport Co Ltd has ensured readiness and adequate space for the vans at the new pick-up and drop-off locations. In addition, in order to facilitate passenger convenience, free shuttle bus services will be provided adequately for those from Victory Monument to the three bus terminals. Public vans have been ordered to relocate from Victory Monument in a bid to alleviate traffic congestion in Thailand’s capital. (TNA)
