Iran’s annual trade with Latin America stands at $945m

TEHRAN,Aug.26(MNA) - Trade between Iran and Latin American states is currently around $945 million.
Iran exported $172.8 million worth of goods to Latin America, while imported $772.9 million from the continent, according to Iranian Customs Administration data.
Venezuela, Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina were the major importers of Iranian goods, while Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay were the main exporters to Iran.
During the recent years, Iran has made plans to expand its markets in Latin America in the fields of car, mine, construction, and power plant.
Trade Promotion Organization of Iran has set the target of $75 billion for non-oil exports in this calendar year, which ends on March 20, 2013.
The Customs Administration has announced that Iran had exported around $43.7 billion worth of non-oil goods in the past calendar year and imported some $61.8 billion worth of goods, to hit the unprecedented mark of $105 billion in annual trade.
