Iran, Brunei FMs call for expansion of economic, trade ties

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and Burundi's Foreign Minister, Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, on Friday called for expansion of economic and trade relations. In a meeting on the sidelines of the 16th NAM Summit, Salehi told Batumubwira that Iran attaches significance to Brunei. He said despite political relations, Iran and Brunei should upgrade bilateral commercial and trade ties, finding ways for further expansion of relations. Bolkiah said for his part invited Salehi to visit Brunei. The two foreign ministers stressed the need for exchange of visits by Iranian and Brunei senior officials to explore grounds for economic cooperation.
