Iran deputy FM heading New Zealand to boost bilateral ties

Kuala Lumpur, Nov 8, IRNA - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Asia-Pacific Affairs is expected to pay a visit to New Zealand for talks on enhancing political and economic ties between Tehran and Wellington, says Iran envoy. Iran deputy FM heading New Zealand to boost bilateral ties Ebrahim Rahimpour who is in Sydney, Australia is intended to pay a two-day visit to New Zealand to negotiate with the country's official on development of bilateral ties between the two nations, Jalaleddin Namini-Mianji, Iran's Ambassador to New Zealand, told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) in an exclusive interview on Tuesday. Iran and New Zealand are determined to develop their political and economic relations, Namini-Mianji said. Rahimpour is going to attend Iran and New Zealand 5th Political and Economic Cooperation Commission taking place in Wellington at the level of deputy foreign ministers. Iran and New Zealand are expected to examine developments in the Middle East, East Asia and Oceania as well as international issues. Enhancement of parliamentary cooperation and exploring ways to reestablish and ease banking ties are among other topics of discussion. 1378/IRNA
