Iran-Oman Review Ways To Expand Aviation Co-op

Tehran, March 2, IRNA – Visiting Omanese Minister of Transport and Communications Ahmed Al-Futaisi conferred on Saturday with the Head of Iranian Civil Aviation Organization Manouchehr Manteghi on expansion of cooperation in the sector between the two countries. Director of Legal and International affairs at Iranian Civil Aviation Organization Mohammad Saeed Sharafi said Manteghi in the meeting called for expansion of air transportation cooperation between Iran and Oman. Both sides explored grounds for expansion of aviation cooperation between both countries, Sharafi said. Al-Futaisi, for his part, expressed satisfaction with the meeting and called for implementation of agreements signed by the two countries in the sector. He voiced his country's willingness to inspect Iranˈs capabilities and potentials in air, land and marine transportations. He also welcomed active contribution of Iranian public and private sectors to big transportation projects in Oman./end
