Iran-Pakistan Stress Co-op In Aviation Sector

Islamabad, Feb 8, IRNA -- Head of Iran’s Aviation Industries Organization has said that there is enormous scope of Iran-Pakistan cooperation in aviation sector and both countries can benefit from each other’s experiences.
In an interview with IRNA, Manouchehr Manteghi said that Iran and Pakistan are progressing remarkably in aviation sector, exploring all options.
“Both countries can benefit from each others experiences,” he pointed out.
Manteghi is part of a high level Iranian delegation visiting Pakistan to enhance bilateral cooperation. The delegation is led by Iran’s Vice President for International Affairs Ali Seedlou.
Manteghi replying to a question said that Iran and Pakistan can help each other in the field of aviation through mutual cooperation.
He was of the view that both the countries can also cooperate in the production of aviation spare parts.
The Iranian official added that the Iranian delegation has proposed Pakistani officials to start Iran-Pakistan cooperation in designing aviation products.
“We can work with Pakistan in designing aviation products,” said head of Iran’s Aviation Industries Organization.
Manteghi expressing his views said that Iran always gives feasible options to other countries to enhance cooperation.
He noted that many Islamic countries are interested in having cooperation with Iran in aviation sector.
The Iranian official said that Europe had started a joint venture under the banner of Air Bus Industry and now the company is competing with Boeing Company.
He opined that Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey and Iran can also join hands to start a joint aviation project. “This project if implemented would definitely have a positive impact on all Islamic countries,” he viewed./end
