Iran-Turkey Review Borders Customs Issues

Ankara, May 22, IRNA - - Head of Iran's Customs Administration Abbas Me'marnejad reviewed on Monday Iran-Turkey border customs issues with his Turkish counterpart Zia Alton Yaldiz in Konya.
They discussed ways of facilitating the transit of passngers and goods via the two countries border points which 'play an effective role in mutual trade exchange.
Me'marnejad and Yaldiz also exchanged views on finding mechanisms for implemention of a mutual agreement signed at the end of December 2011 in Orumiyeh.
Based on the agreement heads of customs administrations of the two countries should hold talks every six months and exchange views on the relevant issues.
The officials reviewed "Bazargan-Golbagh", "Razi-Kapkoy" and "Sero-Essen Darre" border crossing issues.
They also discussed other issues such as ways of making joint border crossings work round the clock and controlling truck transportations via these border points./end
