Israel suggests Thailand to adopt more agri-tech

BANGKOK, Feb 8 (TNA) – Israeli experts shared knowledge on smarting farming to Thai researchers and farmers at a seminar in Bangkok.
Israel embassy to Thailand held a seminar, entitled The Israel-Thai Agriculture Technologies 2018 yesterday.
Dagan Alony, head of the Israel economic and trade mission to Thailand delivered the opening address at the seminar, which discussed smart farming in Israel, where technology helped farmers manage risks and increase production.
Gilad Peled, Director of the Agro-Technology, Water&Cleantech Department of the Israel Export and Intermational Cooperation Institute said that the Israeli government supported researches in agricultural technology and new innovation, which became tools for smart farmers.
They can save time and production cost, so they earn more income.
He said for example, a sensor monitoring system for cows is used to check the animal’s body temperature and daily nutrition, each cow feeds to keep them healthy for milk production.
He also suggested Thai farmers to adopt more agricultural technology in farm management for more yields.
Under cooperation between the two countries, Israel has transferred agricultural technology for Thai government and farmers and is ready to give advice for the most efficient arrangement for the integrated farming system in Thailand. (TNA)
