Japan Airlines Unveils Boeing 787-9 With New Interior At KLIA

SEPANG (Selangor, Malaysia), Sept 2 (Bernama) -- Japan Airlines (JAL) Thursday unveiled the Boeing 787-9 equipped with all-new cabin interior called JAL Sky Suite 787 (SS9) at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) here. Kuala Lumpur would be the first destination in Asia outside Japan to welcome the new cabin configuration. JAL Chairman Masaru Onishi said the SS9 adopted a three-class configuration namely business, economy and a new premium economy class for daily (Tokyo) Narita-Kuala Lumpur routes, beginning Thursday. "With JAL's 787-9, we offer fully flat JAL Sky suites in our business class and spacious JAL Sky premium seats in the premium economy class. "We also maintained the existing 2-4-2 configuration and increased the seat pitch in the SS9's economy class with wider seats and more legroom," he told reporters upon the arrival of the aircraft from the Narita International Airport. -- BERNAMA
