KHCB organises "Lean Six Sigma" course

Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA): Khaleeji Commercial Bank (KHCB), one of the Islamic banks in Bahrain, has organised a "Lean Six Sigma" course for a number of support and business departments in collaboration with the Bahrain Institute of Banking & Finance (BIBF). The course is part of a series of training programmes adopted by the bank to provide staff with advanced science in the field of performance development. The four-day course was attended by 13 managers who learned about aspects of performance development, including skills of work flow restructuring through careful review of the steps required by each stage to reduce time, costs & raise productivity. The course also touched upon practical applications of internationally certified mechanisms to achieve quality in services and performance. “KHCB attaches great importance to employee training, to provide them with the knowledge and expertise -technical and professional- required to develop the bank's business and achieve our strategic objectives. This specialized training course is designed to provide leaders in support and business departments with advanced skills in the field of performance development in order to heighten productivity, which will undoubtedly contribute to raising service quality and customer satisfaction," Sattam Sulaiman Al Gosaibi, CEO of KHCB, said. "The training and development process is a major part of our business model. Annually, the bank implements a series of training programs for all employees, who we consider to be a key element of our success. Thus, we are keen to cooperate with major local and international training institutions to develop a training plan tailored to the bank’s needs and the demands of the market,” he added.
