Lebanese minister urges co-op with Iran in car manufacturing

Beirut, Dec 3, IRNA – Speaking in the official opening ceremony of SAIPA representative office in Beirut, Lebanese Minister of Industry Hussein al-Hajj Hassan called for establishing cooperation with Iran in car manufacturing. SAIPA representative office opened in Lebanon in the presence of Al-Hajj Hassan, Iranian ambassador in Lebanon Mohammad Fathali, the C.E.O of SAIPA Mahdi Jamali and a group of political, economic and trade officials. SAIPA is a major car manufacturing company in Iran. Al-Hajj Hassan expressed hope that the current political stability lead in bolstering investments by Lebanese merchants and international and regional partners. Expounding on SAIPA's activities inside and outside Iran, Jamali said that the most equipped, modernized and complete office of SAIPA was officially opened in Lebanon. Having over 2 decades of experience in participating in international and regional markets, SAIPA takes part in different markets, including Azerbaijan, Syria, Turkmenistan, Iraq, Ukraine, Yemen, Algeria, Sudan, Djibouti, Niger, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Venezuela and Lebanon and it produces cars in Venezuela, Syria, Sudan, Iraq and Senegal, Jamali added. 1378/IRNA
