Malaysia Airlines Launches E-Commerce Platform 'Temptations'

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 16 (Bernama) -- The national carrier, Malaysia Airlines has launched its e-commerce platform, Temptations, to add convenience and facilitate pre-order service for its guests. In a statement Monday, the airline, which has now been owned and operated by Malaysia Airlines Bhd, said the platform will be operated by DFASS Group, an in-flight duty free specialty retailer. "Guests can now purchase from a wide selection of brands on Temptations to be delivered onboard their next Malaysia Airlines’ flight or at home," it said. Malaysia Airlines Chief Commercial Officer, Arved von Zur Muehlen, said in celebration of the launch, the airline will be giving away 15 per cent discount on all pre-orders excluding alcohol and tobacco from now until October 31. “Temptations online is part of Malaysia Airlines’ digital transformation and we hope that we will be able to enhance our guests’ experience with the convenience of pre-ordering their favourite items prior to their flight departure or even for delivery at home. "International shipping will be made available in the coming months for our international guests to enjoy this added service”, he added.
