Malaysian Founder UK Tutti Frutti Plans to Open Three Outlets by End of This Year

By Norsyafawati Ab Wahab KUALA LUMPUR, June 8 (Bernama) -- Malaysian founder and director of Tutti Frutti UK, Amanda Nasim, who is eyeing expansion of her frozen yogurt business in Europe, plans to open another three outlets by year-end. The 21-year-old York University student said Tutti Frutti has grown rapidly in London after she opened the largest outlet in Convent Garden, the first Tutti Frutti store in Europe in December 2011. Other than its flagship outlet in Covent Garden, Tutti Frutti UK now owned two other outlets in the UK. The young businesswoman has successfully pitched her proposal to the founder of the frozen yogurt retail chain, Jay Kim,to obtain the master licence to distribute and operate Tutti Frutti Frozen Yogurt across the UK. "Although I'm happy with what has been achieved right now it is not enough to just stop there," she told Bernama at the 2013 Global Summit of Women here Friday. Amanda said the company has grown rapidly in less than two years, supported by aggressive branding effort. "Frozen yogurt, especially from Tutti Frutti, is still a rare product in London, and hence we advertised heavily," she said. She said that the company has become a principal sponsor of RW Racing and Mahindra Racing teams in the Moto3 standings last year. The company's presence has help the teams to grow, she said. Amanda is a speaker for the Youth Forum: Executive Leadership moderated by Patricia Harris, vice president of Global Diversity and Inclusion of McDonald inconjunction with 2013 Global Summit of Women. -- BERNAMA
