Malaysia's August Palm Oil Stocks Slip 17.29 Percent To 1.46 Million Tonnes
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 13 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's total palm oil stocks fell 17.29 per cent to 1.46 million tonnes in August against 1.77 million tonnes in the previous month, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said.
Crude palm oil stocks declined 25.78 per cent to 757,405 tonnes in August from 1.02 million tonnes at end-July.
The MPOB said processed palm oil stocks dropped 5.73 per cent to 707,086 tonnes in August versus 750,096 tonnes in July.
It said crude palm oil output in August increased 7.32 per cent to 1.70 million tonnes from 1.59 million tonnes in July.
Palm kernel output rose 9.72 per cent to 403,245 tonnes in August compared with 367,516 tonnes in the previous month, it said.
The board said August palm oil exports expanded 30.89 per cent to 1.81 million tonnes (July: 1.38 million tonnes); palm kernel cake decreased 10.47 per cent to 209,650 tonnes (July: 234,174 tonnes); oleochemicals increased 0.54 per cent to 233,584 tonnes (July: 232,328 tonnes); and biodiesel fell 36.05 per cent to 10,722 tonnes (July: 16,764 tonnes).
Exports of palm kernel oil increased 3.59 per cent to 71,662 tonnes in August from 69,182 tonnes in July, it said.
