McDonald's to serve potatoes from central Turkish province of Konya

KONYA (A.A) - 13.04.2011 – Fast food chain McDonald's decided to serve potatoes, produced in central province of Konya, in neighboring countries.
Recep Konuk, chief of executive board of Konya Seker and Pankobirlik, told AA correspondent on Wednesday that McDonald's would use frozen potatoes of Konya Seker corp. in neighboring countries as well.
Konuk said that they were working on exporting its products to Middle East, Balkan countries and Turkic republics.
Seydibey Integrated Facilities of Konya Seker was a leading one in production of frozen French fries, he said.
"McDonald's restaurants in Turkey have been using products of Seydibey Integrated Facilities. French fries of Seydibey Integrated Facilities will also be served at restaurants of McDonald's in neighboring countries," Konuk said.
Konya Seker, the largest sugar producer of Turkey, was established in 1952 and was ranked at the 52th among the Top 500 Industrial Businesses in Turkey.
Seydibey Integrated Facilities of Konya Seker have the highest technologies and integration in the sector of frozen French fries.
