MDP: Monthly Statistics, Population Up 8.5%

Doha, December 29 (QNA) - Ministry of Development Planning and Statistics released Tuesday the stats of November 2015. The population was registered at 2.464 million people, an 8.5% increase year-on-year. Benefiters from social security were 12,244 citizens, an increase of 0.1% month-on-month. Some 22,927 babies were born in November, while 2,102 passed away. Visits to Qatar year-to-date were up 4.2% year-on-year. GCC citizens represented 44.2% of the total visitors to the State of Qatar in 2015. Vehicles registration increased in November, rising 11.9% to 10,982 registrations. Money supply (M2) was up 1.7% month-on-month to QR519 billion. (QNA)
