Melaka United Sign Bozovic From Montenegro As Fourth Import Player

MELAKA (Malaysia), Jan 6 (Bernama) -- Melaka United has signed Balsa Bozovic from Montenegro as their fourth import player to beef up the squad that plays in the Premier League competition of the M-League. Melaka United Football Association deputy president Yusof Mahadi said Bozovic was playing for Persela Lamongan FC in the Indonesian League before signing for Melaka. Bozovic who started his playing career in Montenegro with FK Buduc'nost Podgorica in 2005, had also played for FK Mornar and FK Zeta, two famous clubs in Montenegro. "We hope the presence of Bozovic together with three other imports will boost Melaka's chances in the league," said Yusof here Tuesday night after witnessing players signing their contract in the presence of Melaka Chief Minister Idris Haron. Melaka United coached by former Kuala Lumpur stalwart Mat Zan Mat Aris have also signed two former Pahang players, namely Mohammad Abdul Aziz Ismail, R Surendran and former DRB-Hicom player Ahmad Shahir Ismail. The other three imports in the Melaka United squad are Shin Jae-pil from South Korea, Labinot Harbuzi (Sweden) and Ilija Spasojevic' (Montenegro). -- BERNAMA
