Minister: EU invested $33 billion in Azerbaijan’s economy

Baku, June 13, AZERTAC The EU have invested $33 billion in Azerbaijan’s economy, while Azerbaijan’s investments in the economy of the EU countries amount to $15 billion, said Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev at the fifth EU-Azerbaijan Business Forum in Baku. The minister noted that 1,600 companies from the EU member countries are currently operating in Azerbaijan. “Trade between Azerbaijan and the European Union saw a 30 percent increase last year. Azerbaijan is one of the EU’s key trade and economic partners,” the minister added.
