Money supply statistics as of July

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to report of the Bank of Mongolia (BoM), money supply (M2) reached MNT 9.9 trillion (USD 4.9 billion) at the end of July, 2015, decreased by 177.9 billion Togrog or 1.8 percent against the previous month, and by 214.8 billion Togrog or 2.1 percent compared to the same period of 2014. At the end of last month, currency issued in circulation amounted to MNT 759.0 billion, showing increase of 3.2 billion Togrog or 0.4 percent against the end of June and decrease of 100.6 billion Togrog or 11.7 percent compared to the end of July, 2014. Loans outstanding amounted to MNT 12.0 trillion, at the end of July, 2015. It showed increase of 45.2 billion Togrog or 0.4 percent against the previous month, and decrease of 232.6 billion Togrog or 1.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. Principals in arrears reached MNT 716.4 billion at the same reporting period, increased by 112.6 billion Togrog or 18.6 percent against the previous month, and by 166.3 billion Togrog or 30.2 percent compared to the same period of 2014. The non-performing loans over the bank system totaled to MNT 824.6 billion. It has increased by 50.7 billion Togrog or 6.6 percent against the previous month, and by 224.9 billion Togrog or 37.5 percent compared to the same period of 2014.
