Moscow, Hanoi must join efforts to build nuclear technology center in Vietnam - PM

MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Russia and Vietnam must coordinate their efforts to implement the project on the construction of the Nuclear Technology Center, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev told reporters on the outcomes of the talks with his Vietnamese colleague Nguyen Xuan Phuc. "As for nuclear energy, in this sphere, we have to coordinate efforts in order to implement the project on the construction of a Nuclear Technology Center in Vietnam," Medvedev said. The Vietnamese PM assured that the Vietnamese side "will continue the efforts on implementing the project on the construction of a nuclear technology center". "We will implement the agreement between Russia and Vietnam on the cooperation between the electronic government and Vietnam, and we will also discuss the issue of delivering Russian pharmaceutical goods to Vietnam," he said. The agreement between Russia and Vietnam on the construction of a Nuclear Science and Technology Center on the territory of Vietnam was signed in 2011. It is currently under development. Read more
