Most foreign investors go ahead with projects in Thailand
BANGKOK, June 29 (TNA) - Most foreign investors say they will go ahead with their investment plans in Thailand, echoing their satisfactions with the country's business facilitations.
Bongkot Anuroj, an advisor to the Board of Investment of Thailand (BOI), told journalists on Thursday that a latest survey conducted by her office found 62.5 per cent of overall 600 respondents, who are foreign investors in Thailand, said they would proceed with their investment plans in Thailand.
Bongkot revealed that 35.7 per cent of the respondents expressed their intention to expand their investment projects in the Thai economy, compared to 32.5 per cent and 25.2 per cent found in 2016 and 2015 respectively.
According to the BOI advisor, most of the respondents expressed their satisfactions with Thailand's readiness in basic infrastructure, incentives and supporting
industries or sufficient suppliers.
Meanwhile, most of the respondents also expressed their satisfactions with visa service centers, work permits issuance services and one stop online services (OSOS) provided by BOI.
Despite voicing his pleasure with the Thai government's efficiency in providing business facilitation measures that have saved their times and travels, the respondents wanted the Thai government to end some remaining red-taped procedures. (TNA)
