M'sia Property Exposition (MAPEX) To Attract More International Top Property Developers

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 9 (Bernama) -- The Malaysia Property Exposition (MAPEX) is keen to attract more international top property developers with the inaugural participation of global property players in the exhibition this year, said past president and organising committee chairman, Ng Sieng Liong. To date, some five international developers will showcase their overseas properties to visitors at MAPEX 2012 including property players from Australia, the Philippines, United Kingdom and Thailand. In line with MAPEX 2012 theme, 'Home and Abroad', Ng hoped the exposure will give international players the opportunity to expand in the Malaysian market. MAPEX will be a good platform for international participants to showcase their projects to the Malaysian public and capitalise on their time here to network among potential clients as well as cultivate business contacts and opportunities with top local developers, he told reporters here Thursday. The exhibition, to be held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur from March 2-4 and Oct 19-21, will also talk on topics of interest to house buyers such as safety and financing. MAPEX is an annual event organised by the Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association Malaysia (REHDA). Participating banks and financial institutions including Bank Simpanan Nasional and Bank Muamalat (both Malaysia local banks) will also be offering attractive and competitive financing packages for prospective buyers at the three-day expo. -- BERNAMA
