NAO participates in FIPP Forum

Copenhagen, Oct. 10 (BNA): The National Audit Office (NAO) participated in a meeting of the Forum for INTOSAI Professional Pronouncements (FIPP), which was held in Denmark. The meeting discussed a number of issues regarding the preparation of the INTOSAI’s professional standards strategic plan for the coming period, and the improvement and development of the professional standards framework to ensure the clarity of standards and to enhance their application by various audit institutions. It also reviewed future projects aimed at keeping pace with technical developments in the auditing field. Audit Administrative Director Mahmood Hashim attended the meeting and participated in the Professional Standards Committee (PSC) that focused on the need to adopt modern technologies in presentation methods and to facilitate the application of standards to enhance the quality of the SAISs’ work. The NAO has been a member of the FIPP since January 2020. It has also been a member of the PSC since 2005 as a representative of the Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI).
