NEDA hosts four-way “Green Growth” seminar in Phuket

BANGKOK, Feb 24 (TNA) Thailand’s international aid agency, the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA), on Friday hosted a four-way seminar in the southern resort Phuket Province, in which its Japanese, South Korean, and Chinese counterparts participated to exchange ideas on a “green growth” approach for regional economic development. The participants in the NEDA-hosted seminar include senior officials from China's Export-Import Bank China (CEXIM), South Korea's Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Rapid urbanization, clean energy development and expanding transportation linkages were among issues discussed at the seminar, a unique platform for the sharing of experiences between the four international aid agencies. It was the second time such the four-way seminar was held in Thailand, after JICA hosted the same forum in Bangkok last year.(TNA)
