NRSA, Google to promote creative use of online media
BANGKOK, Jan 15 (TNA) -- The National Reform Steering Assembly (NRSA) has coordinated with the top search engine website Google to promote creative use of online media in Thailand.
Spokesman of NRSA's Media Reform Commission Apichart Jongsakul said the commission has invited representatives of Google from the US and Singapore, who are responsible for the company's operations in the Asia-Pacific regions for talks on prevention measures and solutions of online media abuse and the promotion of creative use of online media in Thailand.
He said the kingdom is becoming more developed in Digital Economy and smart phones, which allowed for quicker and easier access to online information.
Mr Apichart noted that Google would also be organising joint training projects for the Thai students, so as to teach them to become more aware of online media, while also providing knowledge on how to operate an online market as well.
Mr Apichart said the commission has also affirmed that it would be updating of the 2007 Computer Crime Act, so as to pave way for online business growth, while ensuring the changes would not affect the freedom to use online media. (TNA)
