Oil Min: Chinese Companies Resume Work In Iran Oil fields

Tehran, July 30, IRNA -- Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi said on Sunday that Chinese oil executives have resumed their activities in Iran’s larges oil fields and have imported 20 oil rigs. He made the remarks in the sixth meeting of High Council for Development of Oil Industry in Tehran. “After receiving deadlines from Oil Ministry, the Chinese companies have pledged to develop Yadavaran and Azadegan oil fields,” Qasemi said. Underlying development of joint oil fields with neighboring states, he said Iran must exploit South Pars oil field more than ever to utilize the capacity of joint oilfield to secure Iran’s interests. The oil minister said the ministry’s policy is to make technical knowledge in oil industry localized, therefore Iranian constructors and manufactures must be more active than before in their professional careers quantitatively and qualitatively./end
