Oil Minister meets oil companies’ chiefs

Riyadh, Feb. 26 (BNA): Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, met a number of chief executives of oil companies (Schlumberger- Air Productions - GX). This came on the sidelines of the International Conference and Exhibition of Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (ICCUS 2020) held in Riyadh. They discussed a number of related topics and strengthen ways of cooperation with Bahrain in oil and environmental projects. The minister praised the companies’ efforts in providing technical and technological services in this vital area and the specialized projects carried out by them which aimed at developing products by converting natural resources into gas producing energy, fuel and chemicals. He said that projects and initiatives implemented by Bahrain on environmental issues aimed at preserving the climate. This came to implement the provisions of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. The chief executives hailed the role of National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) led by the minister in developing the oil sector, praising the achievements of Bahrain in launching many oil projects that will contribute in strengthening the Bahraini economy.
