Oil minister meets Saudi Aramco official

Manama, (BNA): Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa held a meeting with Saudi Aramco chief Technology officer Ahmad Othman Al-Khowaiter and discussed joint efforts to carry out projects, including the new pipeline. Officials representing the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and the Oil and Gas Holding Company have also attended the meeting, which focused on cooperation to benefit from the Carbon dioxide injection technology and set up a Carbon dioxide transport and distribution network. The two sides signed a document to exchange information and set up a team which would conduct a feasibility study on boosting oil output and benefiting from the carbon dioxide which is produced by Saudi Aramco. Oil and Gas Holding Company Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr. Dhafer Al-Jalahma and signed the agreement with Saudi Aramco chief Technology officer Ahmad Othman Al-Khowaiter. Al-Khowaiter shed light on the planned Middle East Conference on Carbon capture and storage (CCS), which will be organized in January 2020 by the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA), under the patronage of Oil Minister Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa.
