Over 100 Chinese Companies Participate in 3rd "Made in China" Exhibition in November
Doha, October 11 (QNA) - Under the patronage of HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the third edition of "Made in China 2017" exhibition will be held from Nov. 16 to 19 under the organization of Qatar Chamber and with the participation of over 100 Chinese companies representing different economic and trade sectors would, Qatar Chamber said Wednesday in a press release.
Qatar Chamber Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani said the exhibition is drawing wide attraction from Chinese companies who are keen on displaying their products and latest innovations for Qatari investors despite the ongoing unjust siege imposed on Qatar.
HE Qatar Chamber chairman expressed hope that the third edition of the exhibition will result in building constructive partnerships and alliances that enable Chinese companies to enter the Qatari market, especially as the expo was highly acclaimed in its first and second editions and led to the signing of several contracts and joint ventures among Qatari and Chinese companies.
The event, which takes place at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), aims at enhancing cooperation ties among both countries' businessmen, taking advantage of the Chinese expertise in industry and creating a platform to build trade transactions between both sides.
HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohamed Al-Thani reiterated Qatar Chamber's warm welcome to all Chinese investors and assured its readiness to offer all possible aid to attract more investments to Qatar, especially in sectors that offer an added value to Qatar's economy and go in line with the chamber's support to the country's strategy in relocating modern technology.
He added that Qatar Chamber will assist Chinese companies in obtaining the required approvals and doing the necessary procedures to facilitate their introduction to the Qatari market, noting that the chamber will continue to hold conferences and exhibitions that contribute to informing foreign investors on the Qatari market and bringing more investment to the country.
He praised the trade cooperation between the two countries in recent years as their trade exchange rate reached QR 20 billion, expecting it to grow more due to the launch of a direct marine route linking Hamad Port and some Chinese ports.
Qatar Chamber will hold a press conference this week to promote the expo in the city of Dalian, China's major center for foodstuffs, building materials and auto spare parts industries. (QNA)
